Terms and Conditions

THE BIG CHOIR TERMS & CONDITIONS

It is extremely important to The Big Choir that we provide our members with a positive and comfortable space in which to rehearse.  The Big Choir reserves the right to deny admission to any person, or to cancel membership if a member’s behavior is seen as unsuitable or disruptive to the choir.

Accepting our Terms & Conditions when you become a member of The Big Choir, gives us your permission to use any photographs or video footage from rehearsals and performances.  These may be used on our social media sites, our website and for promotional material and any other medium.  If you have any objections, please make them known at commencement of your membership.

By accepting our terms and conditions, you agree to be courteous and considerate to other members at all times. You agree to respect your surroundings, including all property relating to the venue that you are occupying and you agree to keep noise to an acceptable level when arriving and leaving rehearsals as our venues are located within residential areas.

You agree to respect the rules and guidelines concerning safety within each venue.

You agree that if there is a problem with another member that you are unable to resolve with that member directly, you will report the issue to Sharon or Andy for them to deal with as they see fit.

The Big Choir reserves the right to alter the schedule of rehearsals to fit in with performances and other events, but will give members as much notice as possible.

Members of The Big Choir agree to pay their subscriptions on time and in advance of rehearsals.  Any refunds are given at the sole discretion of The Big Choir and will depend on the circumstances.

Our dress code for performances is The Big Choir branded t-shirt with full-length blue jeans.  This may change for future performances, but will always be communicated to the choir in advance and with as much notice as possible.

The Big Choir will not be held financially responsible for any damage caused by a choir member’s misconduct.

The Big Choir members are responsible for their own property and belongings at rehearsals and performances.

In accordance with the Data Protection Act, The Big Choir will hold personal and private member information, but will not pass this on to any external bodies or organisations.

Covid-19

Existing and new members agree to the following relating to Covid-19

To notify Sharon via email, sharon@thebigchoir.org, or call 07971 957188 immediately if you, or anyone in your household, tests positive for Covid-19, or become aware that you have been in contact with someone who has tested positive for Covd-19.

You agree you have a duty of care to all other members, and if you, or anyone in your household, feels unwell and/or have any Covid-19 symptoms, you will refrain from attending rehearsals until you have a negative Covid-19 test result.

You agree to bring sanitiser to all rehearsals to be applied before entering the venue, and during the rehearsals if necessary.

You agree to provide your own lyrics which must not be shared with other members, to mitigate the risk of spreading Covid-19.

The Big Choir will continue to maintain 1 metre social distancing for the forseeable future and we ask that members respect this and also be respectful of other members who may be more cautious, especially in the shared areas of our venues and footfall pinch points.
