About The Big Choir

The Big Choir is a community fundraising choir that was formed in February 2016 with the aim of raising money for Cancer Research UK, and in particular The Francis Crick Institute, a fantastic research facility in Kings Cross, London.

Money is raised through monthly subscriptions, collections and ticket sales to our events. We've performed at numerous festivals, at weddings, Christmas carols in Trafalgar Square and many other exciting venues!

To date we have donated £278,000 to The Crick for Cancer Research, something we are all very proud of.

OUR CHOIRS

Tuesday 7.30pm till 9.00pm              St Paul's Church, Blandford Road, St Albans AL1 4JP
Thursday 7.30pm till 9.00pm            East Barnet School, 5 Chestnut Grove, East Barnet EN4 8PU

WHO ARE OUR MEMBERS?

We are here for anyone who loves to sing.  There are no auditions, and many of our members haven't sung since their school days.  All we ask is that you are able to commit to learning the songs and harmonies to the best of your ability, and to come along to sessions as often as you can, preferably weekly so that the choir can learn as a group at the same pace.  Our repertoire is diverse, performing, pop, rock, gospel amongst other genres and we are always open to suggestions.  There are always opportunities for soloists too.
